Robin Cox

My passion in life is to encourage young people to reach their potential. I was a teacher for 23 years in Southern Africa, a School Principal for 8 of those and then spent 9 years working in the field of youth mentoring, developing programs in New Zealand and Australia, creating my own mentor training program, writing resource books - everything aimed at helping and encouraging teenagers to become the best they can be.

I am married to Jane (since 1981) and we have two adult children living in Auckland, New Zealand.

I enjoy hiking without the back packs, golf, fishing (at the beach - just love the serenity of the early morning on a beach watching the sun rise) and working out ways to persuade teenagers that they are awesome, but instant gratification is unlikely to see them reach their potential :-)

I am a cancer survivor, having suffered from the dreaded disease when I was 9. I was given two years to live, but am still here many years later - a miracle, my Plastic Surgeon said to me about 20 years ago. I believe in God, so I believe in miracles.
